Syntron® Rotary Feeders
Sometimes it's simply not enough to feed and orient parts. Sometimes what is really needed is high-speed orientation.
Syntron® Rotary Orienting Feeders (ROF) are noted for their ability to feed and orient parts at high rates that cannot be matched by other types of rotary parts feeders. In addition, the feeder performs at very low noise levels, improving the work environment for the operator.
Many different kinds of parts can be handled by the Rotary Orienting Feeder. Lightweight parts such as plastic caps, spouts, capsules and electrical connectors are handled with ease. The Rotary Orienting Feeder is equally compatible for handling heavy parts such as anchor bolts, bearing races and metal sockets. In addition, it easily handles oily parts. The Rotary Orienting Feeder is widely used in food handling applications. Just a few examples are frozen biscuits, chicken patties and potatoes as well as wrapped candy.

We offer these units in 18, 23, 32, 42 and 57 inch diameters in either standard or custom designs.
Standard rotary orienting feeders come equipped with an adjustable stainless steel fence and you can add your own orienting devices. If a custom feeder is required, Homer City Automation craftsmen are ready to do the job.
Homer City Automation rotary orienting feeders are built to last. Standard construction consists of a solid metal disc and bowl, both lined with FDA polyurethane to provide smooth handling.
Rotary Orienting Feeders are used in many different industries such as:
- Consumer Products
- Health and Beauty
- Cosmetics
- Pharmaceuticals
- Plastics
- Fasteners
- Automotive
- Food
- Packaging
Single or Dual Drive: Model ROF-118 has a single drive, and models ROF-123, -232, -242, and -257 have dual drives.
The sloped center disc rotates in the same direction as the bowl, but with a variable speed to obtain optimal feed rate.
In the ROF-118 single drive the speed of the disk and the bowl are controlled by a single drive. In dual-drive units, the sloped disc and bowl shafts each have their own drive and control. With this feature, you have the ability to change the rotational speed of either the disc or bowl independently.
This option offers flexibility in situations where different parts are handled at different times.
Peripheral equipment such as belt conveyors, bulk supply hoppers, power rollers, gravity chutes and escapement devices may be integrated with the ROF to expand its capabilities.
